1. Agreement to these terms

By using ReadPlots, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service or complete a purchase. Additional terms shown at checkout are part of the transaction.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 to create an account. A person under the age of legal majority may use ReadPlots only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. Only an adult or a person otherwise legally able to form a binding contract may make a purchase or begin a recurring membership.

3. Accounts

Provide accurate information, keep login credentials confidential, and notify ReadPlots promptly of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account except where law provides otherwise. Accounts and purchases may not be transferred, resold, shared publicly, or used to provide access to unrelated people.

4. Digital products and license

ReadPlots sells or provides access to digital books, audiobooks, mystery games, puzzles, and related content. A purchase grants a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the purchased edition for private use. You do not acquire ownership of the copyright or permission to reproduce, distribute, upload, broadcast, scrape, resell, or create unauthorized derivative works.

Availability may depend on account status, browser compatibility, payment confirmation, and the particular edition. Product descriptions and the checkout page identify the formats included. Unless expressly stated, no physical product is shipped.

5. Prices, orders, and payment

Prices are displayed in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes, discounts, and total charges are shown before the order is submitted. ReadPlots may correct an obvious pricing or description error before fulfilling an order and will offer cancellation or a refund when appropriate. Book and audiobook checkout is operated through WooCommerce and Stripe; Mystery Club checkout may be handled separately through WordPress.com Payments.

You authorize the applicable processor to charge the selected payment method for the amount shown at checkout. ReadPlots does not store complete card numbers or card security codes.

6. Mystery Club recurring membership

• The plan price, billing interval, promotional period, and included access are disclosed before enrollment. Current limited-time offers may include $7.99 monthly or $79.99 yearly plans.
• A membership automatically renews at the displayed interval until cancelled. The payment method on file is charged at each renewal.
• Before payment information is submitted, ReadPlots displays the renewal price and interval, the automatic-renewal term, and how to cancel. You must affirmatively agree to recurring billing; enrollment is not inferred from silence, a preselected choice, or continued browsing.
• You may cancel future renewal online through the membership-management method supplied with the membership, using the same manner and means used to accept the membership, or by contacting readplotseditor@gmail.com. Cancellation stops future renewal charges and access normally continues through the paid-through date.
• For a membership term of 12 months or more that renews for more than one month, ReadPlots will send any renewal reminder required by applicable law. For a Florida consumer, that includes an electronic or written notice 30 to 60 days before the applicable cancellation deadline. The notice will state that the membership will renew unless cancelled and explain how to review the renewal terms and cancel.
• If a payment fails, membership access may be paused or end. Saved progress and separately purchased books remain associated with the reader account.
• Any future price change will apply only as permitted by law and after required notice. Continuing after a properly disclosed change constitutes acceptance where allowed.

7. Acceptable use

Do not misuse ReadPlots, attempt unauthorized access, bypass access controls, interfere with security, introduce malicious code, abuse contact forms, harvest data, reverse engineer protected features, use automated scraping without written permission, impersonate others, or use the service unlawfully. ReadPlots may investigate, restrict, suspend, or terminate access reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, or legal rights.

8. Intellectual property

ReadPlots, its site design, text, game mechanics as expressed on the site, artwork, logos, characters, stories, audio, and other content are owned by ReadPlots, the author, or licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. “ReadPlots” and associated branding may not be used in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without permission.

9. Fiction and entertainment disclaimer

ReadPlots stories, characters, settings, crimes, investigations, and legal proceedings are fictional entertainment unless expressly identified otherwise. Similarity to actual persons or events is coincidental. The content is not legal, investigative, medical, financial, or professional advice.

10. Third-party services and links

Payment, hosting, membership, and external links may be operated by third parties. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services. ReadPlots is not responsible for unrelated third-party content or practices, but nothing in these Terms limits responsibility that cannot legally be limited.

11. Service changes and availability

ReadPlots may maintain, update, improve, or discontinue features. Reasonable efforts will be made to preserve access to purchased content or provide an appropriate remedy when a permanent change materially affects a paid purchase. Maintenance, internet outages, security incidents, or provider failures may temporarily interrupt access.

12. Disclaimers and limits of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis and ReadPlots disclaims implied warranties that may lawfully be disclaimed. ReadPlots is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss caused by events outside reasonable control. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited only to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory consumer rights, liability for fraud or willful misconduct, or any warranty or remedy that applicable law does not allow a business to exclude.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable United States federal law and Florida law, without overriding mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Before filing a claim, please contact readplotseditor@gmail.com and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally. You retain any right to seek relief from a consumer-protection agency or a court with proper jurisdiction.

14. General terms

If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. ReadPlots may assign these Terms as part of a merger, sale, reorganization, or transfer of the service, subject to applicable law. You may not transfer your account or license without written permission.
